5 quick ones to...
Didier Schreiber, Investment director, Fouriertransform.  Fouriertransform has been up and running for about one year now. How are things going?
It´s going really well. We´ve had an intensive 2010 with many exciting projects. A lot of proposals have come in, but we have also been very active in seeking out suitable investments. Our primary focus is on areas like Sustainable Vehicles, More Intelligent Vehicles and Effective Production. We look at young companies with future-oriented products and at growing companies, and are now even looking at more mature companies that have been around awhile but need new capital.

2. How many investments have you made?
So far, we´ve made eight investments (Effpower, Alelion, Powercell, Max Trucks, FlexProp, Norstel, Novacast and El Forest).

3. Are there any investments that you can/would like to specifically highlight?
No, I don´t want to highlight any specific company. All of them are very interesting companies with exciting products.

4. The market is on an upswing again. Do you see a significant difference in the number of potential investments?
We aren´t seeing any difference in numbers, but we do see a difference in the nature of potential investments. When the crisis is over, new financing needs will emerge. We´re seeing an increase in the implementation of structural changes and a desire by small and medium-sized companies to expand geographically or broaden their product portfolio. At the same time, many companies need resources for the first commercialization of their products or services.

5. You have more employees in Stockholm than in Göteborg. Are you managing to keep up?
It´s always difficult to keep up! We don´t operate on a geographic level, so where our offices are located doesn´t really matter much. We often meet in Göteborg, Stockholm or somewhere else.
