AB Volvo slows down
AB Volvo has announced that 400 — 450 temporary workers will not have their contracts renewed next year. Volvo aims to react quickly whenever there is a risk of reduced volumes. So far this year AB Volvo has taken on 2,200 people in Sweden, of whom half were permanent employees and the remainder temporary.
AB Volvo had an extremely good third quarter and the company earned SEK 5.4 billion before tax. It was the best quarter for six years.
