The government has to take the bull by the horns
Anette Hellgren, club chairperson in Union Saab, and Sören Carlsson, club chairperson for Union Volvo PV, write on the op-ed page in Swedish newspaper DI on Sept. 20 that the newly-elected Swedish government must take the bull by the horns and initiate discussions immediately with unions, authorities and trade and industry to form a policy for jobs in the automotive industry.
Sweden is one of only four countries in Europe with a complete development-to-production chain in the automotive sector. Comprehensive knowledge presents opportunities that must be seized.
